Meditation
Discomfort spreads,
As time wanes on,
Looking for means to rise anon
A sense of dread,
A thought therein,
Anxiety bears to bring one to ruin.
"That's enough now,
You've done quite well,
You need to wake and release yourself.
You've things to do,
And places to be.
Tend to matters of practicality."
The devil resides,
In thoughts as this,
Falling of the precipice,
To the real world,
The busy life,
A place of pleasure, A place of strife.
The trick however,
Is to stay,
A little longer and let the day
Pass you by,
With nary a worry,
To find your self, and be not in a hurry.
To see your thoughts,
For what they are,
The cause of all your pain so far.
And that is when
you truly find,
Life's greatest treasure, some peace of mind.
