Age
An arbitrary quantity
for an arbitrary time,
that begets
invisible limits,
as phantom-like in their form
as the consequences they effect.
There a man, but still a boy,
Defined by the years
that say he's getting old.
Pushed by measures,
In no relation to,
His life,
His love,
His mind,
His soul.
Let not the age of man
Dictate our lives,
In a manner so deceivingly benign.
Remember that,
it is, in fact,
An arbitrary quantity
for an arbitrary time.
